Origins
Minh Viet was established in 2006 by Jade Matthews, a Vietnamese national whose family has a long history in the hand embroidery industry in Vietnam. Jade has been living in Hong Kong with her immediate family since 2001. Inspired by the birth of her first son in 2005, Jade decided to bring the traditions of Vietnamese textiles to the world so that other families could enjoy the beauty of hand embroidered 100% pure cotton.

All of Minh Viet's wares are from Vietnam, however the company is based in Hong Kong offering greater efficiency for our clients. We are therefore perfectly positioned to supply international buyers with high quality Vietnamese hand embroidered textiles.

Philosophy
Our philosophy is founded on an orientation towards family, offering products that are attractive and functional, from the arrival of a new family member, through to household items that will make any house into a family home.

This philosophy extends to our production as well. Our products are not embroidered in factories but are sourced primarily from networks of families perhaps best described as co-operatives. Each of the family-run workshops embroider the products following the design and manufacturing specifications provided by Minh Viet. Minh Viet also oversees the quality control and logistics of delivery so that client orders are delivered on time and to the high standards that Minh Viet insists on.
